Connecting Communities at the Utah Public Safety Conference

The Utah Public Safety Conference, held recently in the picturesque city of Saint George, was an exceptional event that brought together dedicated public safety professionals from across the state. The Utah Public Safety Conference featured an impressive lineup of speakers and sessions, designed to facilitate meaningful discussions and interactions. Among the notable speakers were Clint Pulver, author of “I Love it Here” and an expert in employee retention, and Vivek Srikumar, an Associate Professor at the University of Utah School of Computing and a renowned AI researcher. Their insights provided attendees with innovative strategies and forward-thinking approaches to tackle the challenges faced in public safety.

The Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) continues to play a pivotal role in organizing this annual summit, which has seen growing participation each year. The 2024 Utah Public Safety Summit generated excitement and was an even bigger and more impactful event. It took place June 11th and 12th, the summit featured two plenary sessions and numerous breakout sessions covering a wide range of topics. From emergency management and school safety to public health and law enforcement, the summit will address the pressing issues that affect our communities.

As we look forward to next year's summit, EnviroCare remains dedicated to supporting the great state of Utah.
